Manly Palmer Hall collection of alchemical manuscripts, 1500-1825
A collection of European alchemical, Hermetic and Masonic manuscripts dated 1500-1825, assembled by the American occult writer Manly P. Hall and now at the Getty Research Institute, kept for study by scholars of esoteric texts. The pages indexed here are hand-marbled binding papers in scarlet and near-black, with combed swirls, veined eddies and speckled pooling usable as full-bleed backgrounds, endpapers or texture fills.
