Manly Palmer Hall collection of alchemical manuscripts, 1500-1825
A gathered collection of alchemical, Hermetic and Masonic manuscripts copied in Europe between about 1500 and 1825, assembled by the American occult writer Manly Palmer Hall and now at the Getty Research Institute. The pictures here are scans of the volumes' marbled endpapers, mostly Turkish and shell patterns in ochre, dark brown, teal and rust, useful as tiling backgrounds, cover papers, or cell-and-vein texture overlays.
