A bound volume from the Manly Palmer Hall collection of European alchemical, Hermetic and Masonic manuscripts copied between 1500 and 1825, now at the Getty Research Institute and digitised for researchers of occult texts. The pictures here are the binding's marbled endpapers: red, black and brown pigments combed and dragged into swirls, veins and feathered spatter, usable as tileable backgrounds, cover papers or textured fills.
