Manly Palmer Hall collection of alchemical manuscripts, 1500-1825
A bound volume from the Manly Palmer Hall collection of alchemical, Hermetic and Masonic manuscripts (c. 1500–1825, held at the Getty Research Institute), copied by European occult practitioners and later gathered by an American collector. The pages shown here are its marbled endpapers: combed and swirled oil colours in bottle green, black and ochre, usable as full-bleed backgrounds, cover papers, or tiling texture for organic flow patterns.
