Manly Palmer Hall collection of alchemical manuscripts, 1500-1825
A gathering of alchemical, Hermetic and Masonic manuscripts dated 1500-1825, assembled by the American occult writer Manly Palmer Hall and now held at the Getty Research Institute. The pictures here are not text pages but the bindings' marbled endpapers and covers: red, black and ochre combed and swirled patterns, some with a corner of red leather and a gilt rule, usable as backgrounds, cover papers and seamless texture fills.
