A pocket manual of 1807 printed at the Stamperia reale in Milan, adapted from Louis Joseph Marie Achille Goujon, instructing forest and naval agents on selecting oak timber for shipbuilding. Fine outline engravings show bare standing trees with labelled rectangles marking each ship member cut from trunk, crotch or limb, paired with ruled dimension tables in feet, inches and metres.
