A Roman engraved pattern manual by Carlo Antonini, issued in Rome by the Stamperia de Romanis in 1821, recording antique marble and bronze vases in the city and its surroundings for antiquarians, architects and decorators. Each plate isolates one vase on a blank ground, with fluted bowls, acanthus lips, garlands, satyr masks and relief friezes rendered in fine hatching usable as silhouettes or ornament details.
