A manual for managers, designers, weavers, and all others connected with the manufacture of textile fabrics
A trade manual of 1881 by Alfred Spitzli, published in West Troy, New York, for mill managers, pattern designers, and weavers of textile fabrics. Wood-engraved cuts show bench microscopes, magnifiers on ball-jointed stands, and shop apparatus, drawn in close parallel-line shading against blank grounds — usable as isolated instrument silhouettes and hatching textures.
