Lietz Company, mathematical instrument makers of San Francisco, in 1893, for working surveyors and engineers buying transits, levels and compasses. Engravings and halftone photographs show instruments in three-quarter view against blank grounds, with graduated circles, tripods, verniers and telescope mounts drawn as isolated, catalogue-ready objects.
