An encyclopedic ornament manual by Frédéric-Auguste-Antoine Goupil, published in Paris by Desloges in 1862 for decorators, upholsterers, furniture makers and garden designers. Engraved plates show grotesque mask cartouches, hanging trophies of tools, instruments and flowers, and scrolled acanthus friezes in fine line work, supplying frames, drop motifs and border units that can be cut apart and recombined.
