Manufacturer's manual.
A trade manual published in 1887 by the International Terra Cotta Lumber Co. of Chicago to sell fireproof terra-cotta building materials to architects, contractors and builders. Wood engravings show drying sheds and kiln structures in perspective, a horse-driven circular grinding pan, and workmen shovelling clay into geared mixing and pressing machines, offering designers period industrial machinery, small labouring figures and hatched line shading.
