Manuscript notes on weaving
A 1912 textile trade handbook of manuscript weaving notes by James Holmes, printed by Lupton Bros. of Burnley for cotton-mill weavers and loom designers. The plates are point-paper draft diagrams: black-filled squares, crosses, dots and open cells on ruled grids, giving designers ready-made checkerboard patterns, dense pixel lattices and diagonal repeats in flat black and cream.
