Les marbriers romains et le mobilier presbytéral
Gustave Clausse's 1897 study for E. Leroux in Paris on the Cosmati marble workers of Rome and the church furnishings they made — ambos, tombs, paschal candlesticks, cloister arcades — written for architects, archaeologists and students of medieval Italian art. The plates are pen-and-ink elevations and perspective views in fine hatched line, carrying panels of interlaced guilloche, rosette bands, porphyry roundels and inscribed cornices that can be lifted as border and tile patterns.
