Francisci Marii Grapaldi De partibvs aedivm libellvs cvm additamentis emendatissimvs
A Latin treatise on the parts of the house and its furnishings, compiled by the Parmese humanist Francesco Mario Grapaldi and printed at Parma by Francesco Ugoletto in 1501 for scholars and students of classical vocabulary. The illustrations are small woodcut initial letters, mostly white letterforms reserved against black grounds filled with rosettes, dotted stems and pointed leaves, some with vine-scroll borders, usable as display capitals, ornament tiles or repeat patterns.
