Materials and documents of architecture and sculpture : classified alphabetically
A trade reference of architectural and sculptural ornament, issued in Chicago by G. Broes Van Dort in 1915 as an alphabetically classified picture file for architects, modellers and draughtsmen, drawing largely on French building details. Plates mix line engravings of balustrades, keystones, consoles and cartouches with halftone photographs of carved stone, each captioned with street address, century and architect, giving designers scrollwork panels, acanthus brackets, mascarons and frieze repeats in clean elevation.
