Catalogue of a choice collection of pictures and other works of art, chiefly Italian, of Mediaeval and Renaissance time, the property of Signor Stephano Bardini of Florence
An auction sale catalogue issued by Christie, Manson & Woods in London in 1902 for the dispersal of the Florentine dealer Stefano Bardini's holdings of chiefly Italian medieval and Renaissance painting, sculpture and bronzes, printed for bidders and dealers. The plates are sepia halftone photographs of single objects lit against black or blank grounds, mostly terracotta and marble portrait busts on moulded socles, giving clean silhouettes, carved drapery folds and ornament borders that cut out easily.
