The medical application of electricity
A short handbook on electrotherapy by the physician and inventor William F. Channing, published in Boston by the instrument maker Thomas Hall in 1860 for doctors buying and operating medical coils and batteries. The wood engravings show induction coils, magneto machines, electrodes, Leyden jars and battery cells on turned-leg stands, with lettered terminals and looping cords, useful as line-art apparatus diagrams and Victorian hardware silhouettes.
