Medical symbolism in connection with historical studies in the arts of healing and hygiene
Thomas S. Sozinskey's 1891 survey of medical symbolism, published in Philadelphia and London by F.A. Davis for physicians and antiquarians interested in the emblems of healing and hygiene. Small line cuts trace serpents, staffs, amulets, votive figures and classical statuary in flat contour outline with sparse hatching, giving designers isolated emblem motifs that read clearly at logo scale.
