Meister des ornamentstichs, eine auswahl aus vier jahrhunderten
A survey of ornament engraving across four centuries, compiled by Peter Jessen, curator at the Berlin Kunstgewerbemuseum library, and published in Berlin in 1900 for designers, craftsmen and students of the applied arts. The 408 plates reproduce line engravings of grotesque panels, strapwork cartouches, candelabra columns, winged sphinxes, putti, urns and masks, giving usable vertical panel formats, frame surrounds and repeatable ornamental motifs.
