A survey portfolio of ornament engravings from four centuries, compiled by Peter Jessen and issued in Berlin in 1900 by the Verlag für Kunstwissenschaft for designers, craftsmen and print collectors. The plates reproduce line engravings of symmetrical arabesque panels, grotesque figures under canopies, urns on pedestals, hanging flower swags, sphinxes and strapwork borders, supplying frames, vertical pilaster fillers and repeatable border units.
