Memoirs relating to European and Asiatic Turkey, and other countries of the East;
A collection of travellers' reports and antiquarian notes on Greece, Asia Minor and the Levant, edited by Robert Walpole and published in London in 1818 for classical scholars and collectors of inscriptions. The plates are copperplate facsimiles of Greek inscriptions set as dense blocks of capitals, measured temple plans with perspective interior views of columned halls, and outline drawings of small clay figurines and vessels on blank grounds — useful for lettering reference, architectural line work, and isolated artefact silhouettes.
