A privately printed 1919 unit history of the U.S. Army Signal Corps' 411th Telegraph Battalion, compiled by Charles H. Moore for the men who served and their families. The plate here is a line-drawn operations map of the Soissons–Reims–Épernay sector marking telephone lines, wire strung on existing poles, railroads and highways, with a boxed legend — useful for hand-lettered place names, hatched route symbols and sparse black-on-white cartographic keys.
