A 1917 collection of caricature portraits by Luther Curtis Phifer, self-published in Worcester, Massachusetts, picturing local businessmen, manufacturers and officials for their own city's readers. Each pen-and-ink plate sets a half-length figure at a desk or office rail, ringed by small captioned vignettes of hobbies, factories and products, with hand-lettered joke labels useful as ready-made spot drawings and lettering models.
