Meteorologia philosophico-politica : in duodecim dissertationes per quæstiones meteorologicas et conclusiones politicas divisa, appositisque symbolis illustrata ...
A Latin treatise by the Jesuit Franciscus Reinzer that pairs twelve dissertations on meteorology and astrology with political lessons, printed at Augsburg in 1709 by Jeremias Wolff for a learned clerical and courtly readership. The 91 copperplates are round emblems set in ruled square frames, each with a Latin motto on a curved banner: lightning bursting through a domed pavilion, a cave mouth framing ships at sea, a statue-lined arch before a burning city, a farmyard under a radiating sun-face — sources of circular vignette formats, engraved hatched skies, and motto-ribbon layouts.
