A German-language collection of the alchemical writings of the Polish adept Michael Sendivogius, edited by Friedrich Roth-Scholtz and printed in Vienna by Johann Paul Krauss in 1750 for readers of hermetic philosophy. The pictures are small woodcut initial letters built from swelling ribbon strokes, hairline curls and spiral dots, printed with broken ink on laid paper — usable as display capitals or ornament fragments.
