Minerua Britanna, or, A garden of heroical deuises, furnished, and adorned with emblemes and impresa's of sundry natures,
An English emblem book by Henry Peacham, printed in London by Walter Dight in 1612 for courtiers and readers of heraldic devices. Each page sets a small woodcut scene — a sword sprouting leaves, a sunrise over a walled town, a figure holding a snake, a man climbing a tree — inside a different ornamental border of vines, grotesques, caryatids and interlace, giving designers ready frames and compact symbolic motifs.
