The ministry of art
Essays on art, craft and religion by Ralph Adams Cram, the American Gothic Revival architect, published in 1914 by Houghton Mifflin in Boston and New York for a general reading audience. The indexed images are scans of the Smithsonian Libraries ownership stamp rather than plates: a radiating sunburst seal ringed with letterspaced capitals, plus a blotted diagonal hatch mark, printed in rust-brown ink on cream paper and useful as seal, monogram and ink-texture reference.
