A London genealogical and heraldic periodical begun in 1874, issued unsigned for antiquaries, family historians and armorial researchers. Line-engraved shields, crests, mantling and wax seal impressions in plain black outline, many labelled with tincture abbreviations; useful for crest motifs, foliate scrollwork, hatched seal borders and ready-made blank shield shapes.
