An emblem book compiled by Laurentius Wolfgang Woytt and issued by the heirs of the Augsburg print dealer Jeremias Wolff in 1727, aimed at readers who collected moral devices for verses, festivals and funerals. Each engraved plate holds sixteen small oval and rectangular scenes in a numbered grid, captioned with mottoes in Latin, Italian, French and German, and showing tools, animals, plants, weather, candles and figures at work; the grids supply ready-made icon sets, borders and repeatable small vignettes.
