A pocket reference to circulating coinage, compiled and published by Jean and Godefroy Engelmann at Mulhausen in 1835 with French, German and English captions for travellers and merchants crossing European currencies. The plates pair obverse and reverse in flat lithographic outline: profile busts in armour and queue wigs, crowned shields and displayed eagles, dates split around the field, and legends set in circular bands, some printed on yellow tint — useful for roundel devices, engraved lettering curves and heraldic silhouettes.
