The model book of dreams, fortune teller, and epitome of parlor entertainments
A parlor amusement manual of dream interpretation, fortune-telling and party games, written by Henry Temple and Cordelia M. Ottley and issued at Cincinnati in 1864 for American family evenings at home. The cuts are crude relief woodcuts printed as horizontal strips: heavily inked, near-silhouette figures in top hats and tailcoats pointing, kneeling, running and brawling, some in racial caricature, useful for gesture studies, spot ornaments and rough-edged figure silhouettes.
