Modern carriages
A survey of horse-drawn carriage and cart types written by Sir Walter Gilbey and published in London by Vinton & Co. in 1905 for horse owners, coachbuilders and drivers. Line engravings show each vehicle in strict side or three-quarter view — dog cart, tandem cart, road coach — with spoked wheels, shafts, springs and lamps drawn as clean outline, usable as silhouettes or technical profiles.
