Modern school geography and atlas
A school geography textbook and atlas issued by the Canada Publishing Company in Toronto in 1883 for Canadian pupils. Its 91 plates include uncoloured outline maps showing only coastlines, rivers and mountain ranges, alongside pastel-tinted political maps of Canadian provinces, the West Indies and Central America, with engraved serif lettering, inset panels and graticule borders; useful for line-drawn continental silhouettes, river networks and soft flat-colour territory fills.
