Monastic and baronial remains, with other interesting fragments of antiquity, in England, Wales, and Scotland : illustrated by upwards of one hundred plates
An antiquarian topographical survey of ruined abbeys, monasteries and castles in England, Wales and Scotland, compiled by James Moore with plates after George Isham Parkyns and Jacob Schnebbelie, published in London by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Brown in 1816 for antiquaries and collectors. The aquatints are sepia and brown, printing ruins as dark silhouettes against cloud-filled skies, with engraved caption lettering, plate borders and small figures useful for tonal landscape backgrounds.
