Monumenta Patauina, Sertorii Vrsati studio collecta, digesta, explicata, suisque iconibus expressa
An antiquarian catalogue of Roman inscriptions and monuments found at Padua, compiled by the Paduan nobleman Sertorio Orsato with plates by Giovanni Georgi and printed by Paolo Frambotti in 1652 for scholars of epigraphy. Most cuts render inscribed stones as framed facsimiles, with gabled tops, rosettes, lions and centred capital lettering, interleaved with woodcut headpieces and tailpieces of grotesque masks, strapwork scrolls, flower swags and an open book; useful for letterform models, cartouche shapes and small chapter ornaments.
