The moon, considered as a planet, a world, and a satellite,

Nasmyth, James, 1808-1890 · 1903 · New York, J. Pott & Co.; London, J. Murray · 1 picture

A late edition of James Nasmyth and James Carpenter's lunar treatise, first issued in 1874 and reprinted in 1903 by J. Pott in New York and John Murray in London for amateur astronomers and general readers. The plates run to dense black grounds with white-lettered geometric diagrams explaining phase and illumination, alongside the authors' celebrated photographs of hand-built plaster moon models; useful for high-contrast circle-and-line figures and crater texture.
