Motor drive for a wagon factory
A 1914 engineering thesis by Fred Glen Shoemaker at the University of Illinois, arguing for electric motor drive in place of line-shaft power at a wagon factory. The plates are hand-inked plan diagrams: numbered machine blocks, shafting runs, rail sidings and labelled departments, useful for schematic line work, lettered title cartouches and industrial floor-plan motifs.
