Motor transports in war
Horace Wyatt's 1914 survey of military motor vehicles, published in London and New York by Hodder and Stoughton for wartime readers following the mechanization of the British army. Halftone photographs show lorries, staff cars, ambulances and converted touring chassis in depots and fields, marked W↑D, with spoked wheels, canvas tilts and stretcher racks — useful for early truck silhouettes and period vehicle detail.
