Méthode de composition ornementale
Eugène Grasset's two-volume manual on ornamental composition, published in Paris by the Librairie centrale des beaux-arts in 1905 for art students and decorative designers. Line diagrams break ornament into grids, checkerboards, diagonals, spots and wave borders in flat black and cream, giving designers ready tiling units, repeat schemes and geometric border strips.
