Mundi lapis lydius, siue, Emblemata moralia nobilissimi viri D. Antonii A. Burgundia quondam Archidiaconi Brugensis : in quibus vanitas per veritatem falsi accusatur & conuincitur
A Latin emblem book of moral emblems by Antoine de Bourgogne, archdeacon of Bruges, engraved by Andries Pauli after designs by Abraham van Diepenbeeck and printed by Joannes Galle at Antwerp in 1665 for educated Catholic readers. Each plate is a small oval scene in a double-ruled frame, headed VANITAS on the left and VERITAS on the right with a paired Latin motto below, showing ruined walls and vine-covered houses, brawls in village streets, tavern interiors with window light, and shopfronts against Flemish town gables; useful for oval vignette frames, motto-and-image layouts, and fine-line hatched architecture and landscape.
