Official weekly proceedings of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, printed by the city in 1908 for municipal officers, clerks and the local press. The plates are masthead fragments in which heavy slab-serif capitals overlap the city and county seal, a rope-bordered roundel enclosing a phoenix, a miner with pick, a sailor, an anchor and the mottoes 'Oro en Paz' and 'Fierro en Guerra'; useful for seal engravings, condensed display lettering and logotype overlap.
