Municipal record
Municipal Record, the weekly proceedings bulletin of the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco, issued from 1908 for city officials and the public. The images are masthead details: the city seal — a miner, a sailor, ships in the Golden Gate, rays, and a rope border — set against heavy slab-serif display letters, useful as engraved seal art and bold banner type.
