Municipal record
The Municipal Record was the weekly bulletin of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, issued from 1908 for city officials and residents tracking ordinances, public works and civic improvement. The pictures are masthead details: heavy slab-serif capitals interrupted by the city and county seal, a roped circular border around a miner, sailor, sunburst and the mottoes "Oro en paz, fierro en guerra."
