Musee De Poupees
A 1909 Hachette volume from Paris cataloguing a collection of costume dolls, photographed to record French and European regional dress for collectors and students of folk costume. The halftone plates show single standing figures on plain grounds, each in embroidered bodices, aprons, shawls, lace veils and elaborate headdresses, useful for silhouettes of regional dress, headwear shapes and textile pattern detail.
