Musei Theupoli : antiqua numismata olim collecta a Joanne Dominico Theupolo
A two-volume catalogue of the ancient coins gathered by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo, published in Venice in 1736 by his descendants Lorenzo and Federico with engravings by Antonio Visentini, addressed to antiquarians and coin collectors. The plates shown are wide engraved headpieces built from strapwork frames, C-scrolls and acanthus, enclosing standing figures, quadrigas, sphinx-like hybrids and framed coin portraits — usable as symmetrical banner ornaments, cartouche outlines and small classical vignettes.
