A Latin edition of Vitruvius's ten books on architecture, printed in Florence in 1522 by the heirs of Filippo Giunta with Frontinus's treatise on aqueducts appended, aimed at Renaissance architects, engineers and humanist readers. The woodcuts are small technical diagrams keyed with italic letters: column bases and capitals in profile, plan circles bisected by a line, floor plans of rooms and colonnades, and walls drawn as coursed brickwork in plain outline and hatching.
