Mycenae : a narrative of researches and discoveries at Mycenae and Tiryns
Heinrich Schliemann's excavation report on Mycenae and Tiryns, published in New York by Scribner, Armstrong in 1878 for archaeologists and educated general readers. Wood-engraved finds are drawn on plain grounds: painted potsherds with spirals, chevrons and hooked bands, whole vases, gold ornaments and figurines, plus site plans and sections that yield ready-made Aegean pattern motifs and artifact silhouettes.
