The mystic oracle, or, The complete fortune-teller and dream book
A cheap paper-covered fortune-telling and dream interpretation manual issued in 1893 by F. M. Lupton of 106-108 Reade St., New York, as part of the semi-monthly People's Handbook Series sold to a mass readership. The pages carry job-printing ornament rather than scenes: a scrolled floral publisher's cartouche, a mock-bound cover panel with landscape vignettes and heavy display lettering, a printing-press roundel series emblem, and columns of numbered oracle answers set off by small pointing fists.
