My threescore years and ten : an autobiography
An autobiography by the American sculptor Thomas Ball, published in Boston by Roberts Brothers in 1891 for readers following the careers of nineteenth-century artists. The seven plates are portrait photographs and photogravures of the sculptor at various ages, his family, and painted likenesses in soft sepia, useful for period faces, beards, lace caps and dark-ground studio lighting.
