The Electrical experimenter
A monthly popular-science magazine edited by Hugo Gernsback in New York in 1918, written for amateur electrical experimenters, radio builders and wartime technology enthusiasts. Plates mix halftone wash scenes of ships, submarines and searchlight beams with labeled cutaways, corner inset schematics, numbered photo montages of home laboratories, and heavy line-cut advertising art with bold display lettering, supplying ready-made callout layouts, technical diagrams and underwater and hangar scenes.
